The FileLinker Project Center provides a collection of FileLinker project link files and the tools required to manage them.

Select an existing project link file from the project list.

Three sections are available to help you organize your project link files:

Favorites: Move projects that you are currently working on or use frequently to this section for quick access.

Projects: By default, all newly created projects are stored in this section.

Archive: Projects that you do not currently need can be moved to the archive.

To move, rename, or delete a project, select it and right-click to open the context menu.

Refresh List
Use this button to refresh the link list.

Copy FileLinker Project Link File to the Clipboard
Use this button to copy the selected FileLinker file to the Windows clipboard. You can then use the Paste command to insert the FileLinker file directly into OneNote, Word, PowerPoint, or onto the desktop.

Copy File Path to the Clipboard
Use this button to copy the file path of the selected FileLinker file to the clipboard. For example, you can use the file path to add the FileLinker file to a MindManager map as an attachment. This also allows the FileLinker file to be opened later from a Microsoft Teams or SharePoint environment.

Project Cockpit

The Quick Link list is located in the upper section. Quick Links provide fast and direct access to important project content, links, and folders.

Quick Links are created automatically when you create a new project. The number of Quick Links depends on the selected options, such as a project map link or a predefined folder structure.

Folder Structure

The Folder Structure section displays the directory structure of the selected project. Here, you can select folders, create new folders, and delete existing folders.

To access additional functions, select the desired folder and right-click to open the context menu. From this menu, you can create a Quick Link for the selected folder or copy its full folder path to the clipboard.

Files

The Files section displays the contents of the currently selected folder. Numerous functions are available for managing files. Select the desired file and right-click to open the context menu.

Copy – Copies the selected file to the clipboard.

Paste – If a file is selected, the contents of the clipboard are pasted into the associated FileLinker folder. If no file is selected, the contents are pasted into the currently selected folder.

Paste into Folder – Pastes the contents of the clipboard into the currently selected folder.

Delete – Deletes the selected file.

Cut – Removes the selected file from its current location and places it on the clipboard so that it can be moved.

Open With – Opens the Windows “Open with” dialog box, where you can select the application to use for opening the file.

Rename File – Allows you to rename the selected file.

Create Quick Link – Creates a Quick Link for the selected file in the Quick Link list.

Assign Image File – Assigns an image file to the selected file.

Add Chat/OneNote/Web Link – Creates a FileLinker link to an AI chat, OneNote page, or website. If a file is selected, the link is stored in the associated FileLinker folder. If no file is selected, the link is created in the currently open folder.

Add Mind Map – If a file is selected, the MindManager file is created in the associated FileLinker folder. If no file is selected, it is created in the currently open folder.

Compress File or Folder as a ZIP File (WinZip) – Starts WinZip to compress the selected file or the currently open folder as a ZIP file. WinZip must be installed to use this function.

Note: The Files section supports dragging and dropping files.
